The Lusail Iconic Stadium (ملعب لوسيل الدولي in Arabic) was converted and delivered for use in April 2022. It will have a total capacity of 80,000 spectators and it will be used for a total of 10 games including the final of the Qatar 2022 World Cup of the tournament. It’s 23 kilometers north of Doha and after the competition it will be reconverted to hold only 40,000 people. The repurposed space will be used for community centers, education facilities, even a health clinic.
