The Al Janoub Stadium (استاد الجنوب in Arabic) was previously known as Al-Wakrah Stadium and is located in Al-Waktah, 15 kilometers south of Doha. The stadium has a capacity of 40,000 spectators, however, the plan is to reduce that in half to 20,000 after the World Cup. 6 matches of the group stage and one match from the round of 16 will be held here.
