As expected, the missing forth spot was covered by Costa Rica. Which makes for a group that is a lot more complicated than it looks. At first glance, it would be a fight between Spain and Germany for the lead and between Japan and the South Americans on which side avoids the last spot. But is it indeed so? The Panzers do not seem to be the unbeatable side they used to be. Also, Spain was recently upgraded to the fifth best favorites for the title itself. Could we have a threeway between Die Mannschaft, the Rising Suns and Los Ticos?
